OLD GIRL

Old Girl is the tale of my experience as I recently crossed over into the unknown territory of “older woman.” High up on the Cotswold hills in western England, I move through the grassy landscape, consciously discovering the mystical sense of myself as a sensual body in a changing physical form. As an artist, my response to the anxiety of aging is to create a sense of interior space in the pastures of this ancient land, a space which amplifies the present moment experientially. Video, with its illusion of the perpetual present tense, magically invites us into the intimacy of being, which is for me, a rich and unruly source of inquiry.
